Fall is here! As Halloween approaches and we find ourselves reaching for warmer clothing and layering options, retail stores will be bombarding us with this years Fall trends. If you didn’t know the 60’s and 70’s are all the rage. Suede this and fringe that. But before you spend unnecessary money lets shop our own closets and make sure we have our bases covered.
As a stylist, a few things I suggest every woman have for Fall are:
- Casual Comfortable Boots
- Non Black Blazer
- Great Jeans
- Neutral or Camel Color Bag
- Pattern Scarf
Lets face it for those of you who work a 9-5 or in Le World O’Corporate most of your closet is filled with things to wear to work. But what about your life off duty. Check out how I do off duty rocking some of my key Fall Essentials. We’ll cover work wear next time!
TIP: Keeping your basics (jeans, tee shirts, turtlenecks, blazers and boots) in neutral colors makes getting dressed less stress. The key, keep the same concept ( dark jeans, blazer and boots) and just switch the colors. As long as the boot is somewhat sophisticated (nice hardware, heel, quality material) you should be able to wear this look just about anywhere.
In these photos below I switched my bag and glasses from sunnies to my scripts.
Blazer = Urban Outfitters (old), Top = Madewell, Jeans = Blank @ Lord & Taylor, Boots = Aldo, Tote Bag = Henri Bendel, Crossbody Bag = Henri Bendel, Glasses = Prada.
