How To Wear Booties At Work

Booties BW 1

I’m so excited that Fall is here! Which for me means that you can rock blazers! Blazers and booties are like cookies and milk, sweet and salty, winged eye liner and red lips. You get the picture. In part one of this post I talked about how to wear booties off duty/ on the weekend. In this post I’m showing you my on-duty uniform. I love to show my legs, they’re one of my best assets.

TIP: As a curvy girl who is also short (5’2) and petite I always wear my dresses and skirts either at the knee or 2-3 inches above.  Wearing longer hemlines is ok but your legs will appear shorter and possible wider. When wearing midi, maxi or tea length skirts wear heels (any height) to avoid this.

Slipping on a skirt with booties for work is a quick and easy way to be stylish yet comfortable. In this look I’m mixing trends with classics; sheer, black and white, leather, and leopard. I’m rocking my all time favorite sheer sleeve blazer from Cabi, and luxe faux vegan leather pencil skirt (also Cabi). Since its still pretty warm outside I chose to pair this look with my favorite basic white tee shirt from Uniqlo.  As a stylist I have lots of flexibility within my work wardrobe. However, this look can be paired with a button down shirt, blouse or light weight sweater. The choice is yours. Just make sure you rock some hot booties.

i love you and your blog. please dont take the following as disrespect. i just know i would want it pointed out to me. you use “where” incorrectly. “where” is a place vs “wear” which is to have clothes on your body. for ex, the title of the article is correct. but the picture with the booties is incorrect. thats all. i still think youre amazing and am so thankful for this blog
