Some of you may or may not know this but I love color! Don’t get me wrong black is a great color but it can get boring sometimes. I was inspired to do this post by a question I was recently asked. Whats the most versatile piece in a woman’s closet? True to form I said a mid-lenght black body-con dress. It can be wore as is, a skirt or a shirt. Not to mention, if the length and fit are correct, you can wear it almost any where. Work, dinner, cocktail party, evening wedding, meetings, you name it.
Since it’s Spring I wanted to turn things up a notch and wear my red body con dress, especially since I hadn’t worn it yet. And to prove its versatility I wore it here as a top. Now thats how you make the most of your closet!
Yes ladies believe it or not, what looks to be a cotton shirt is actually a dress. Check out the full dress below and the details of this look.
This dress comes in sizes xs-l. I’m a size 10-12 and I’m wearing a medium.
DEETS OF THE LOOK
- Red Bodycon Dress- Diane Von Frustenburg
- Peplum Skirt- Topshop (old)
- Wool Herringbone Jacket- Cabi (Fall/Winter)
- Red Jeweled Pumps- BCBG (old)

As you can see this isn’t rocket science, just a little out of the box thinking. I encourage you to think outside the box this season and make getting dressed fun again. No more staring at the closet thinking “I have nothing to wear” because you do!
