First and foremast I’d like to say thank you to renowned women’s wear designer Tracey Reese. As I sit here and write this I literally just finished reading the April issue of Redbook. In my personal opinion, Redbook is the real world girl’s new lifestyle bible (watch out Instyle). Its ideas and pages are more realistic and attainable for women ie, things I can actually purchase. Anywho, in this issue the fashion section (which Tracy curates) was dedicated to the Fantasy Pant.
According to Tracy and her design team Fantasy Pants have these 3 identifiable qualities:
- Mid rise waist (sitting right at or above the belly button; curvy girl fav)
- Slightly tapered (hello, skinny jean freak here!!!)
- STRETCH ( who still buys 100% cotton?)
I have said this before but hands down my favorite retail “designer” jeans are from Madewell. But these skinny jeggings from them are A-MAH-ZING! They have all of the Tracy approved characteristics, mid-rise = no muffin top, fully tapered, and about 8% stretch! Another reason I love them is the super dark washing, hello #instaslim.
So why are these my fantasy denim, they fit me like a glove. And my personal bonus, I can now fit them again and I haven’t been able to since I was 25. I turn 30 this year! My cleaner eating habits and Lucille Roberts membership is definitely paying off!
To checkout my fantasy jeans they are now available on Madewell.com here. However, not in the wash I’m wearing. They are available in black and light blue. The light blue has wiskering so I recommend the black for a similar slimming effect. They are priced at $98 (blue is on sale for $69) and go up to size 32=12.
Happy Shopping and Happy Fantasizing Ladies!
PS: My peek-a-boo sweater is Cabi (old; on trend), Jacket is The Limited (thirfted), Handbag Henri Bendel, Shoes Sam Edelman (old)… Thanks for reading
