This is Keynna! Skinny Minority’s Newest Team Member and of course curvy gal enthusiast! I’ll be popping in from time to time to give you the 411 on all things fashion from my point of fabulousness. Here we go…
This season we are all about color and so is one of our favorite Designers Miss Diane Von Frustenberg! So if you want to add a pop of color to your wardrobe, look no further than the DVF spring 2011 collection. The vivid color palette, geometric pattern, color blocking and subtle neutral tones are nothing less than fantastic. The DVF brand has always been known for amazing color and patterns and that’s why I love DVF sooo much.
This spring collection is full of Grecian silhouettes, flowy tops, tailored pants and jackets. My favorite pieces were the color block day looks. I especially liked the silk electric eggplant skirt paired with a blood orange button down silk top (pictured below).
Another look that I love is this loosely fitting pant suit in rich cinnamon paired with a silk cream button down top and a matching leather bag.
We love this collection because one piece can instantly refresh your any look. With the warm weather rapidly approaching adding some bright color and interesting patterns is a great idea.
NOTE: If you’re hesitant about adding larger, brighter pieces you can always go for bright accessories. Shoes with a pop of color, or a belt or bag can add some pizzazz to your look. Another good alternative is a bright lipstick (DVF’s models wore hot pink seen here).
Happy Spring Shopping Readers!
